About Me

My name is Kendall, and I'm a Kindergarten teacher living and working in central Indiana! After graduating from Butler University (Go Dawgs) in 2017 with a degree in Elementary Education & Special Education, I chose to stay in Indianapolis and pursue my career where it all began. I am rounding out my eighth year of teaching, and in that time I've taught three different grades. Yes, you heard right, three grades in seven years. My first year teaching was in 3rd grade, then I looped up with my class the following year in 4th grade. I spent three years teaching 4th, before moving down to teach Kindergarten. I've been in Kindergarten four years now and I love it! I plan to continue teaching Kindergarten in the foreseeable future. Tiny humans with big hearts and ideas? SIGN. ME. UP!

Ten months out of the year I teach full time, while I embrace my summer's off during the other two. In the downtime of teaching, I prioritize family and friend time, connecting with those close and far away. I dedicate myself to binge watching tv shows, reading books on my "to read" list, going to the gym, trying new restaurants and keeping up with the "adulting" life so many of us face everyday. My husband and I enjoy cooking new recipes together, playing absurd card and board games, having movie nights and sweating it out together at the gym. My reflective & encouraging project is this space you're currently exploring, full of ideas, tips, perspectives and more about the teaching profession.

Thank you so much for visiting this space and for allowing me to connect with you! Enjoy!
